Ways To Block Spam Message In Gmail

Hi All, am back again with a new tech-tutorial in Gmail So, today we gonna discuss how can i block some particular senders in Gmail from sending me mail, speaking in simpler terms there is no specifically dedicated functionality given by google for gmail users to block a bunch of spammers like you can find in other mailing servers. Yet there are ways through which you can actually save your inbox from spamming and also block spammers.

BLOCK SPAM SENDERS IN GMAIL

Log in to your gmail account and identify the email Id of the person or group you want to block.Lets assume it to be block_id@ xyz.com .

If the spammer is using multiple email-ids from same domain . For ex:- block_id1@ xyz.com, block_id2@ xyz.com… , you can filter out the domain itself, killing all email registered to this domain.For that you need to block or filter @ xyz.com (in this case).

Now just find search box on the top of the page

Upon clicking to search options button, a search personalize form will appear , in that you can easily filter out desired senders.

Just insert Email id to be blocked in the From text box and click on Create filter with this search.

Now, select delete it and also apply filter to matching conversations to delete previous mails form same sender.

Click on Create Filter button and you will see everything getting deleted sent by this email id, also filter has been created which will directly delete any email coming from this email id.So you have blocked this email id permanently until the filter is applied. This is very simple and interesting way to restrict spammers from spamming your mailbox in Gmail.
